Graves McLain Delivers Free Backpacks to Every Student at Gilcrease Elementary School

Gilcrease Elementary School had its annual open house for families and students on Friday, August 18th. During the open house, the entire student body of 475 students, was given a brand-new backpack donated through the “Graves McLain Free Backpack Program”.

Speakers at the assembly during the open house consisted of Principle Tasha Johnson, Attorney Rachel Gusman, Pastor Tim Newton, and Tulsa Police Officer Derrick Alexander. Everyone who addressed the students spoke of the new school year, and how each and every student has the potential to do and be anything they desire.

The Graves McLain Free Backpack Program donates new backpacks filled with provided school supplies to every single elementary school student in North Tulsa. Partners of this important community outreach program include Graves McLain Law Firm, Oklahoma Association for Justice, Partners in Education, All Souls Church, Gilcrease Police Department, and other local Tulsa based businesses.
