The Graves McLain team took home the prize for Best Traditional Chili at the 20th Annual University of Tulsa College of Law Chilifest Cookoff this past Friday evening. This annual event, hosted by the TU College of Law Alumni Association, pits local attorneys, judges, and staff against one another in a heated cooking competition for a good cause.
All proceeds of the event go to support local law students that take public interest jobs during the summer months.
The annual Chilifest Cookoff brings together former and current TU law students, as well as local law firms and representatives from the Tulsa County Bar Association. And to make sure all the results are fair and impartial, every dish is carefully inspected by Oklahoma state and federal judges. With local judges exchanging their robes for aprons, you can be sure that this completion can get intense.
This year, the Graves McLain team entered the Traditional Chili category and walked out with the first prize. Graves McLain attorney Chad McLain is a TU College of Law alumni who loves to show his school spirit and raise funds for young, aspiring law students in the Tulsa community. The Graves McLain team had a blast participating in the 20th Annual TU Law Chilifest and can’t wait to try their luck again next year!
