Bicycle safety for children is an extremely important issue. Bicycle accidents contribute to thousands of serious and preventable injuries every year, which is why it is so important to teach kids about the importance of wearing a helmet every time they go out for a ride, as well as how to ride safely.
This week, Tulsa Hub and the Tulsa YMCA will kick off their fourth annual Summer Youth Cycling Program. This wonderful annual program provides bicycle safety equipment and training to local Tulsa students. For five days a week over the next four weeks, Tulsa Hub volunteers will engage and educate local kids about the importance of biking, getting active, and practicing proper bicycle safety.
This year, Graves McLain is proud to sponsor the Youth Cycling Program, which provides over 200 K-6th graders with a bike, helmet, safety training, and other safety gear. On Wednesday, June 29th the attorneys and staff at Graves McLain will join local volunteers at Gilcrease Elementary School in North Tulsa to begin fitting each child with their own bike and helmet.
At Graves McLain, Tulsa Personal Injury law firm, we are committed to doing everything we can to protect the health and safety of everyone in our community. We are very excited to be a part of this fantastic community event!
