As winter weather conditions continue throughout the week in Oklahoma roads are becoming hazardous due to icy conditions. The slick road conditions and low visibility continue to cause car accidents on some of Oklahoma’s busiest highways.
Earlier this week troopers responded to an accident involving a young driver and multiple cars along S.H.16. The girl was driving westbound when she veered to the left of the center lane hitting another vehicle.
The passenger was fatally injured and the others involved were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the icy road conditions played a major role in this tragic accident.
